Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Nixotine app. By downloading or using Nixotine, you agree to them. Please read the subscription section carefully.

1. The app & your licence

Nixotine (“the app”) is a personal habit-tracking tool that helps you quit vaping, provided by Aayush Gelal (“we”, “us”). We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Nixotine on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to the App Store terms and, on Apple devices, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application EULA.

2. Use it responsibly

Nixotine supports your quit journey with streak tracking, reminders and self-help content, but it relies on the information you enter and on local notifications that can be delayed or affected by your device settings (Focus, silent mode, battery, Do Not Disturb). Nixotine is a personal aid, not a guarantee, and it is not medical advice. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and is not a substitute for professional care. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider about quitting nicotine, and don’t rely on the app for anything safety-critical or high-consequence.

3. Free trial & Nixotine Pro

Nixotine offers an optional auto-renewing Nixotine Pro subscription that unlocks additional features — such as the full recovery timeline, the calendar, unlimited journal history and the personal nicotine taper plan. The following terms apply:

4. Refunds

Purchases and subscriptions are sold and billed by the app store, so refunds are handled by Apple (or Google Play), not by us. To request one on the App Store, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We’re happy to point you in the right direction, so just get in touch.

5. Your content

Anything you create in Nixotine (your quit date, streaks, check-ins, journal entries, logged cravings and village progress) is yours. It’s stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud. We don’t claim ownership of it and we can’t access it. You’re responsible for your device and for backing up anything you wish to keep. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, reverse engineer it (except where permitted by law), or use it in any unlawful way.

7. Disclaimer & liability

Nixotine is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for missed goals, relapses, indirect or consequential losses, or any outcome arising from your use of the app or your inability to use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves; the “last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Apple’s Standard EULA also applies. Because Nixotine is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA) governs your licence except where these terms add detail.
Nixotine is a self-help tool, not medical care. If you need help quitting nicotine, please consult a licensed health professional.
